Vice President of Marketing, L'Oréal USA
Carole Diarra is a Vice President of Marketing at L’Oreal USA. She currently leads a cross-functional project on retail innovation and omni-channel strategy for L’Oreal’s Active Cosmetics Division. Previous to this assignment, she worked for L’Oreal’s Consumer Products Division for 11 years including Vice President of Marketing for Garnier Skincare and Vice President of Marketing for Garnier Haircare and Haircolor Innovation. She spent 5 years in Paris working on international marketing assignments. Her roles have included developing brand strategy, managing brand portfolio(s), media, advertising, consumer insights, in-store activations, P&L management, global innovation, product development, retail and customer strategy. Prior to L’Oreal, she worked for Accenture in strategy consulting. She received her MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University. She is on the Manhattan Community Board and the Harvard Club of New York, where she chairs Crimson Impact, the social service arm of the club. She is a recipient of the 40 under 40 award by the Network Journal. She speaks French with a working knowledge of Spanish, and is married with one daughter.
